Privacy policy
This website works without cookies, tracking or embedded third-party services. Here you can read which data is processed nonetheless and what rights you have.
This English version is provided for information. The German Datenschutzerklärung is legally binding.
1. At a glance
- We do not set cookies or store any information on your device.
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools, or social media plugins.
- Fonts, images, videos and downloads are stored on our own web server. Visiting the site does not open connections to third-party servers.
- Technically necessary server log files are created by our hosting provider when you visit the site.
- If you contact us via the enquiry form, your message is sent to us by email.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
B. Bergfeld & Söhne KG
represented by Norbert Ott

3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external service provider:
[Name of hosting provider]
[Address]
Each time a page is accessed, the web server automatically processes the following data and stores it in log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- requested address (URL) and HTTP status code
- amount of data transferred
- referrer URL, if sent by the browser
- browser type, browser version and operating system (user agent)
This processing is necessary to deliver the website, ensure its stability and security, and detect attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and error-free operation of the website. The log files are deleted after [number] days unless they are needed for longer to investigate a security incident. The data is not combined with other data sources.
4. No cookies, no tracking
This website neither stores information on your device nor reads it. There are no cookies, no comparable storage technologies, no audience measurement and no advertising. Consent under Section 25 TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act) is therefore not required, and there is no cookie banner.
Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google or other providers. The enquiry form works without an external captcha service. The company film is stored on our server and only loads when you start it.
5. Enquiry form
If you use the enquiry form, we process the data you enter: company, name, email address, subject and message, and optionally address and callback number. Our web server sends this information by email to our mailbox kontakt@
To protect against automated spam, the form uses a check field that is invisible to people and a minimum completion time. No additional personal data is collected for this purpose and no third-party services are used.
The purpose of processing is to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare or perform a contract. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give in the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future; an informal email to kontakt@
We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Under Section 257 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code (AO), we retain commercial and business correspondence for up to six or ten years.
6. Contact by email and phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details to deal with your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. Our legitimate interest is answering enquiries. Deletion follows section 5.
7. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption, which you can recognise by “https://” in your browser's address bar. When encryption is active, data you send to us cannot be read by third parties. The subsequent transmission by email follows the state of the art, but complete protection of emails is not possible.
8. Links to other websites
Where we link to third-party websites, no data is transferred to those providers simply by visiting our pages. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies only once you follow a link.
9. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
- access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To exercise your rights, simply send a message to kontakt@
Right to lodge a complaint (Art. 77 GDPR): You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information)
Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1
65189 Wiesbaden, Germany
datenschutz.hessen.de
10. Obligation to provide data, automated decisions
